Just watched episode 10 of Zoku SZS Awesome, and I realized I haven't blogged about this show at all, despite it being one of the three four anime I'm actively following. Clearly, this must be remedied.
I think the ariariari! segment has become my favorite one to date, followed by Maria's tsukkomi act in the previous episode (she's so cuuute ;~;) and Jun's introduction (&hearts~). I thought the subject of despair was sheer hilarity (and hogosh it's so true!). Random screencaps and lame captions:

I'm really starting to like Okusa-san. I have no idea why.

Bandage bondage?!

I love her when she's homicidal. So much. 8D

Ahaha, this just cracked me up. Ne~e yo~!

This Sensei/Abiru scene is cute.

"I never thought we'd end up together because you couldn't think for yourself."
"I feel the same way, too."

Sensei/Everyone-except-Chiri, lol. XD;

Hurhur, no love for you.

"As punishment for crushing my fragile heart, can I bury this man alive~?♪"
... I don't think that's quite how ariari sagi works, Chiri.

I dump you.

Um, not from the same episode, but for those who play the "Where's Matoi and Emperor Penguin?!" game, hey, there's Matoi! This is just one of the trickier stalker shots I've noticed. XD;
Oh, and:
After the transfer, she [Itoshiki Rin] frequently faces the readers/audience with her back and turning her head around, which parodies Shin-chan, who is voiced by the same actor, Akiko Yajima.
Thank you, wiki. I was wondering about that for a while now! I enjoyed Crayon Shin-chan and all, but I don't remember Shin-chan doing that turning around with the head thing, so the references just flew past me! :O Yes, all five hundred of them.

Date: 2008-03-11 03:15 am (UTC)Oh, I forgot to cap it but, Jun makes a short appearance in this episode, along with Kino and the two new male students.
And I'm not too worried about this show ending just yet. I'm not really in the know, but it seems super popular!

Date: 2008-03-11 08:19 pm (UTC)EEE!! Really?? Blah, as soon as I get the time I am watching this ep! I want rivalries! ><
I really hope you're right... It does seem popular, and the production quality has stayed so high, I don't think they're running out of money or anything. XD Third season FTW!

Date: 2008-03-12 01:02 pm (UTC)when I can recognize them, but I can't get enough of the the totally random crack in Zoku, like the segments where they all talked in gibberish and switched seiyuu around.Jun and Kino didn't interact at all; they just showed Kino and his friends being complete idiots (http://pics.livejournal.com/resphoina/pic/0000r79w). I wish they'd animate Kino's introductory chapter already because that's where the TOSHOKAN BATTORU (http://pics.livejournal.com/resphoina/pic/0000s3g1) (ok not really (http://pics.livejournal.com/resphoina/pic/0000tew5)) took place. I love the girls so much, but I want moar high school bois! D:
Their (one-sided?) rivalry sure is cute! And over storytelling? How awesome is that?! *A* Although I think I haven't seen Kino actually telling a story. Strange. Oh, and for such an obvious pairing, I'm surprised it's not more popular. DX
Off-topic. Have you watched this (http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2535491)? :D It's a Baccano! parody of this Vocaloid video and I think it's becoming quite a NicoVideo trend. 2:00 into the video = <333

Date: 2008-03-13 01:54 am (UTC)The SZS Wikipedia article says that Kino's style of storytelling (writing?) is more like...a light novel style? I don't really get it, but it doesn't sound like he'd be able to just make up anything like Jun's fairy tale-type stories off the top of his head. So he's doomed to lose. >:/ These two=OTP! ♥
Ooh, I never saw that before! That song has got to be one of the weirdest I've ever heard. XD ELMER AND HUEY AND MONICA LOVE. :D Not to mention OMG LUCHINO EVEN MAKES AN APPEARANCE! (But why must it be so short, just for that second at 1:14...D:) He needs more love; it makes me so happy whenever he's in anything. ><

Date: 2008-03-14 06:47 am (UTC)Yeah, I couldn't make sense of that description either, but it does seem that Kino's book preference is in direct contrast to Jun's... and that he's not a natural-born storyteller. And I think his bizarre fashion sense is emphasized lot more than his "hates to lose" personality. :D Jun/Kino = ARIARI! ♥
It's so weird... and oddly catchy! o/ Baccano! videos are a lot fun to watch, especially those drawn/animated from scratch. I find it amusing to see how many characters they could squeeze into the video. 8D And yeah, Lucchi needs to make cameos more often! :/ Oh, and I've watched this Huey-centric MAD that had scenes from 1705~2002 sometime ago but I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore!
