First off, thank you for so much for the very kind comments in my previous entry. They've really cheered me up, and I'm doing okay now!
um, okay enough to write up a fangirly entry. |D
I'm catching up with some spring season shows. o/ Initially, I thought I won't be watching anything new, but I have poked my head around other people's blogs and found shows that look interesting. :D For now, I'm following Nabari no Ou, Soul Eater, Code Geass R2, and Kurenai.
I am completely hooked on Nabari no Ou. *A* It's that kind of series wherein everyone is awesome and/or crazy and even characters I don't particularly like have their moments. I guess it's very much like Baccano! for me in that regard. My favorites so far are Kouichi, Raikou and Miharu... but that might change when I get around to properly reading the manga.
Hm. Yoite, I didn't start liking very much, but he's so much ♥ when he's with Miharu. Raimei is plain awesome (I kinda wish I were more like her) and very refreshing as far as shounen female leads go. Shijima is as cute as shesometimes freaks me out. And Gau(uuuu~) is the most adorable thing ever! <3 I hope he'll come back in later chapters. ;;
... Hm. How I went on about characters other than my favorites is beyond me. XD
Pairing-wise, I really, really like Yoite and Miharu. These two are incredibly cute together, moe even, and it's interesting to see the effect they have on each other. Kouichi and Raimei also make such a cute pairlol abuse but I think I prefer them as close friends (So I ship them...... in a non-shippy way?).
The story's refreshing and interesting in that there's no clear distinction between good and evil. I ended up sympathizing for characters who were against Miharu and Co., and there are some pretty suspicious people who claim to be on Miharu's side. :/ Also, modern-day ninja and samurai is such an awesome premise!
And, whaa, Kouichi. D: I thought you were the most normal ninja schoolboy in the entire series and then you turned out to be something else altogether (His evil side revealed a few volumes back was also very unexpected!). Well, this certainly explains uh, his hair and all those seemingly random illustrations of him with birds.
Late, but. Code Geass = srs bsns?
